Image description:
The Borders. Coldingham and Berwick Berwike south to York. The islands are Holy Island haly eland, Farne farne eland, and Coquet Cokett eland. The Cheviots mons chivioth are drawn as a cogged semi-circle, a clever and unusual symbol for a mountainous upland area; Snowdonia is similarly treated. The west coast runs from Kilwinning kynwenyn and Ayr are, past the Isle of Man Insula de man, Wigtown wigton, and Dumfries dromfres, to Carlisle karlil and Windermere Wenandremere.
