Miniature across two columns: carole in a garden. The Lover enters a court where, in a ring of dancers, Sir Mirth himself is standing tall with a plume in his red cap. Next to Sir Mirth is his mistress, Gladness, who is pointed out by the ladies in the gallery. They are dancing to the music of minstrels, on flute and viol.
